My journey into make-up artistry began in 2016 when I won a fancy dress competition for the best Halloween costume, transforming into a zombie mermaid. That moment sparked my passion for exploring make-up as a vibrant medium for bringing my creative concepts to life.

In 2017, I took my first step into the industry by working as a face painter at a local zoo. I spent two incredible seasons there, honing my skills and realising the joy that comes from bringing creativity to life on people’s faces. Later that same year, I began collaborating with local and touring theatre companies, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in stage make-up.

To further my knowledge, in 2018, I enrolled in college to study Theatrical, Special Effects, and Media Make-up. This year-long program broadened my skills and deepened my understanding of the craft, preparing me for diverse opportunities in the field.

In 2020, I took on the ambitious 31 Days of Halloween challenge, where I painted myself as characters from popular TV shows and movies throughout October. This project allowed me to push my creativity to new heights and share my work with a growing audience.

By 2022, I officially launched Dainty and Decay, turning my passion into a full-time business. Today, I have the privilege of working with local theatre companies, event planners, and private clients, creating everything from special effects and face painting to glitter artistry and more.

Whether transforming actors for the stage, adding a creative touch to a party, or working on unique special effects projects, I love what I do—and I can’t wait to bring my artistry to your next event!
